Problem: LEGO Watch with Detachable Links August 16, 2010 Anthony E. Maddela (Los Angeles, CA United States) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I received the Luke Skywalker watch from Amazon in June 2010. My six-year-old son wore it everywhere and slept better with it. I valued its educational value in teaching my little Star Wars fan analog time. Then came summer camp. He informed me after the first few days that the watch's links kept unlocking, but there was always a camp counselor to pick it up. I warned him against wearing the watch to camp and definitely not in the sand box. A few weeks ago, his beloved watch was lost.
I contacted ClicTime, the licensed manufacturer, at two of its three UK customer service E-mail addresses [...] and the third is [...]. I never assumed ClicTime would replace the watch (as the Brits say, "losers weepers") but hoped that its staff would comment on the LEGO line's susceptibility to links detaching with less than a tug. If, indeed, the watch was designed for ages six and above, a typical kindergarten/first grade boy's play habits would be accommodated in its construction. ClicTime never responded to my two messages.
Losing the Luke Skywalker watch caused my son considerable grief. Relief came when I ordered an Obi-Wan LEGO watch at a comparatively low price from another vendor. I bought it though the risk remains that one of the many links will come loose, and I'll be searching again for another replacement. LEGO should intervene to protect its brand image and insist that licensee ClicTime strengthen the detachable links of its complete line of brick watches. Otherwise, the respected company and amusement park operator appears flimsy and its business model suspect.
One very small problem January 12, 2009 N. Bergeron (Minneapolis MN) This was a gift for our Star Wars obsessed 6 year old daughter (who prefers Luke as a Jedi in black - not the beige, episode IV look). And she loves it. It even comes with a Luke Skywalker lego figure. The only flaw is the numbers between 6 and 9 are very hard to read - they are the ones on Luke's black outfit. For someone learning to tell time, that is problematic. Other than that, it is a great watch.
Great Watch! January 8, 2009 Ginger Johnson (Layton, Utah, USA) I bought this for my 8 year old son for Christmas and he loves it. It works great has adjustable links and the lego guy is a bonus.
Lego Children's Star Wars Watch January 7, 2009 C.Windham (California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had gotton this for my niece's son for Christmas talk about loving it he sure did, within a few moments he had already changed the facing color and resized the wrist ban. So it is very easy for kids to change themselves. I would certainly recommend this watch to any one else seeking to purchase a Lego Star Wars Watch.
When I ordered I also got fast deliver , friendly help never had any problems at all with Amazon or any of their merchants..

Gave this watch to my 8 year old Grandson and he loved it. Had a hard time getting the watch off for his bath.
